What is the Mad PSI carbon fiber ducktail trunk
lid?
Think your MR2 is outdated? Think a
rear wing gives the MR2 too much of a "ricey," "boyracer," or
immature look? The Mad PSI ducktail trunk lid replaces the
stock trunk lid to lend the MR2 a more modern, mature, unique, and
clean look. Despite being subtle, however, it is aggressive
and sporty enough to enhance the exterior of the MR2. You save
money since the ducktail trunk lid is a bolt-on replacement and does
not have to be, although can be, painted since it is made out of
carbon fiber. You can save up to 25 lbs., because it replaced
both the OEM trunk lid and the OEM rear wing. In fact, it is a nice
lightweight addition to any carbon fiber themed MR2.

What influenced the design of the ducktail trunk
lid?
The ducktail trunk lid design was influenced by
designs from Aston Martin, Lotus, and BMW.

Is this a replacement for the trunk lid or just
an add-on spoiler lip?
The ducktail trunk lid is a complete one-piece
trunk lid replacement, not an add-on spoiler that you would need to
secure with double-sided tape or mold into the trunk lid.

Carbon fiber.

How much weight does the Ducktail Trunk Lid save me?
The ~5 lbs. Mad PSI Carbon Fiber Trunk Lid will save you up to 25
lbs. over the OEM setup, because the OEM trunk lid weighs 15 lbs and
the OEM rear wing weighs as much as 15 lbs. (see, e.g., the
1991-1993 rear wing).
